Finally, I can say the words, I'M ON VACATION. I have been waiting to say this for a good while.
I didn't meet my goal weight. I'm at 312 lbs. (half my goal score) with a total of 15 lbs that I lost and feeling good about it due to stress about my colon and the rest of my other problems.
By doing squats and other exercise like walking, resistance band and core ball, I feel stronger than last year which I had 2 surgeries. I feel that I can carry myself and my weight by the challenges I have accomplished like walking more over a 1 mile and climbing stairs in my apartment. I know it will be hard with the temptations of desserts and ice cream on my trip. But I'm going to make a rule to only have 'one dessert a day'. I am taking granola bars with high fiber that will fill me up and will drinking plenty of water or lemonade. Also, in Maine, there are a lot of hill climbing and wood area trails which I will be walking to see the sights. I'm going to make myself get out of bed every morning and walk on the beach to look for sea shells which is my favorite thing to do.By the way, lobster is only 90 calories without the melting butter. I will be definitely having lobster for breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner. LOL
I see you all back here June 23 but STAY TUNE on some tips of weight loss next week that I have schedule on blogger.com in my post files. Go Greens flavor drink, flaxseed information, my favorite carrot muffin recipe, 2 minute ads and website; top secret.
Off to Maine
Wednesday is Another Day
I only lost 1 lb. these 2 weeks which is not much. I'm still counting my high fiber in my diet and I have been noticing that I do tend to eat less at night and during the day. But I still get board of my time.
I know I should be exercising or do something to keep moving, but there are times I get board of the same routine and same doings of keeping busy. There are moments, I would start looking in my cupboards for snack foods and I try to shake it off but it always ends up with me on the couch with peanut butter and jelly crackers. UGH!
What do you all do, when you get board of your time and you start looking for snack foods in your cupboards? Need help.
Weigh In = Gain 2 lbs.
I feel that I'm never going to leave the 300-teens poundage. Up and down, the scale goes. Frustrated, Sad and Tried. Never ending story for these couple of weeks. UGH.
But I (you) (we) got to keep moving, inspiring and having a positive attitude to keep being healthy and living happy. I know that I must move more, push myself to do more rather than sitting on the couch and watching my late night TV. I should be doing more walking. NO more eating out, cook my meals inside. Press forward and never say gain. Think about my Goal (loose 30 lbs. before June). I still have time to meet my goad and I'm going to motivate myself to do it.
Lost 2 lbs.
I lost 2 lbs. Not the greatest but not a gain. I didn't try my best these 2 weeks, I mostly did my own thing, a few deserts here and there and I didn't worry about the calorie intake.
They, meaning trainers and physical physicians, says the first 1 week of dieting, you should have a goal set in your mind. Like for an example, loose 15 lbs. in one month or fit in those old jeans that you had for the longest time. Setting this goal will give you an reminder on why you are doing dieting in the first place and to keep on doing it. Right now, write you goal on a piece of paper and put it on the ice box or in your car. Place it somewhere that you will see it everyday and it will keep on reminding you and won't let you grab those donuts in the morning or go out for a fast restaurant cheese burger.
My goal is to loose 30 lbs. before my trip to Maine in June. To get fit to walking on the rough trails in the Bar Harbor, National Park. Also, to keep up with my Mom, which I'm taking on the trip, at all the Portland shopping stores. I have 3 more months to go and have set my goal paper on my door, so I can see it before I go out in the morning and when I get home at night. I also, have it at my work space so I don't get a candy bar from the vending machine.
"I know I can do this and so can you, too."
Weigh In - Ugh! Gain 4 lbs.
I beginning to hate Wednesday weigh-ins. Due to the stress from work and the lack of sleep, I didn't do so good on my diet and weight. I gained 4 lbs. BUT I did go to my doctor's appt. this morning and in 2 months, I have dropped my cholesterol from 217 to 178. My diabetes drop from 7.5 to 7.0 which is good but not good enough (6.5 is the regular). My high blood pressure seems low but better than high (98 over 70).
I think I will go away on a little weekend vacation to re-group and get some sleep from all the stress and lack of rest from the past 3 weeks. I'll probably sleep over at some hotel with a pool and gym to work out at and watch some TV "cable" and order some room service. Just maybe relax my body in some hot tub and hopefully that will do the trick and get back to my normal routine of life and dieting.
Always Think Positive, Never Negative. Thinking negative will bring you and your body down to a stop and your problems will be solved or recover.
Lost 4 lbs.
Yeah! I lost 4 lbs. WOW! I was not sure I would loose any exepecially the pasta I ate from last weekend. I did though bought myself a scale. My other scale was always off when I stand on it. When I leaned a little to the left, I lost 5 lbs. and I leaned to the right, I gain 7 lbs. When I leaned forward I gained a lot. I like it when I leaned to the left.
I research a lot of scales on line and it seems that Taylor made company are the best with the reviews of 4 out of 5 stars. Weight Watchers are good, too but expensive and not sure (a good of the reviews says, it brake and off its weight by 10 lbs. in a month). I did get a digital instead of the magic red wand version.

Don't Cheat
I know, it is hard to get on the scale and get disappointed. I know, I didn't do so good last weekend, I had pasta and tomato sauce with Italian bread and butter. But we, all, have to face the truth and reality. It is a struggle to face it, but it will be a lesson to learn for the next time you face one of your demon, bad foods like pasta.
I always think, it is an awaking, a learning process to correct what I should have done. I mean it is OK to have pasta or anything other bad foods but not to over to it. Like, I know, I should not have to Italian bread. I should have had wheat or herbal bread. Everything we do wrong is a lesson to learn and to move on from.
Wednesday Weigh-In
I lost 2 lbs. these 2 weeks. Not a lot but it is a loss. It can be disappointing. You work hard towards a goal giving it all I have and still end up not great results. You ask yourself, "Where did I go wrong, what's the use of being dedicated and hard working?"
But on the other hand, by looking at my situation with a calm, detached attitude, I can locate the faults or leakages. Like, I should have walk more instead of sitting on the couch watching TV. Stop snacking crackers out of the box instead I should have put two servings in a bowl.
I have to be positive and put in a good prospective that I did lose 2 lbs. Even if I lost zero. I can't let it get me down. I need to loose weight, that is my answer to a good healthy future, life with my family and friends. Like the saying goes, "The glass is half full, not half empty."
Wednesday Weigh In
It has been two weeks. I lost a total of 8 lbs. in 2 weeks that almost 1/2 lb. a day. Not bad for the beginning. I was watching my calories and did the Master Cleanse diet but no exercise. I think if I did the exercise, I would have lost my weight. So, my solution to lose more, I have to step up my game and get my lazy butt up off the couch and move. Like someone said, "Don't move, you won't lose."
